Energy Efficiency Practitioner: Data Centers
Empower Your Data Center for a Sustainable Future!
Overview
Data centers, the backbone of our digital world, face challenges due to their substantial power consumption, impacting the environment and finances. This underscores the critical importance of energy efficiency in ensuring sustainability and cost-effectiveness. The Philippines is making strides in the realm of data center technology, particularly in energy efficiency. The Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT) anticipates a substantial expansion in the country’s data center capacity by 2025, with an expected fivefold increase to reach 300MW. However, with the surge in data center operations comes the challenge of managing energy consumption sustainably. High costs of technologies like solar and wind power present barriers, necessitating data centers to prioritize efficiency and invest in sustainable technologies to meet energy targets.
Our primary goal for this 2.5-day hybrid session is to equip participants with comprehensive knowledge and implementation guidance of Energy Efficiency practices in Data Centers. Throughout the session, we’ll explore key concepts, the latest energy efficiency technologies, and the best practices deployed in data center environments that can directly cut down energy costs – both on the design and operations fronts. By covering topics ranging from overview to practical implementation strategies, attendees will gain valuable insights to enhance the efficiency and sustainability of their data centers.
